Running a Business

For six years and counting, I run a small business that designs and manufactures custom signs and products using laser-cutters and a woodworking shop. It caters to both consumers & businesses, creating artwork, decor, gifts, and merchandise.

This is a physical manifestation of product design, of which I’ve always been passionate about.

I get plenty of satisfaction from clients getting a product that helps their business succeed!

Through entrepreneurship, I’ve:

  • Gained leadership skills by managing artists, fabricators, and researchers.

  • Learned to service clients: companies, individuals, and everything in between.

  • Developed a business acumen & a unique view on how products get done.

  • Witnessed the power of great design - it’s easier to sell well-though-out products.

I’ve gained a broad understanding of the interests, constraints, and incentives that all companies and clients have to manage. These skills make me better able to align stakeholder goals with user needs, while balancing team constraints and resources.
